Western Australia

North West Coastal Highway 

The North West Coastal Highway has reopened, which is great news for guests heading north. Those planning to visit Coral Bay and Exmouth should check the Main Roads WA Travel Map for the latest status before departing.

Kalbarri (Ajna-Kalbarri Road)

Kalbarri town and coastal area is open for business. Despite Cyclone Narelle tracking nearby, Kalbarri itself has come through in reasonable condition. The Kalbarri National Park gorge walks and coastal cliffs remain accessible.

Shark Bay (Shark Bay Road)

Shark Bay is open for business and warmly welcoming visitors. Fuel supply at some stops is being managed day by day while freight routes are restored.

Upper Gascoyne / Murchison 

Inland areas of the Gascoyne and Murchison received significant rainfall during Cyclone Narelle. Some unsealed roads may have creek crossings that are still settling. It's worth checking conditions before heading to inland areas from Carnarvon. Kennedy Ranges NP is currently closed.

Exmouth and Coral Bay

Cyclone Narelle has caused considerable damage to the town of Exmouth, however the road to the town is open - extreme caution is needed, and reduced speed limits are in place. Please refer to the Main Roads WA Travel Map for information.   

Gibb River Road

The Gibb River Road is currently closed between Pentecost River and Mt Barnett. It is anticipated that the Gibb River Road will reopen towards the end of April/beginning of May, but that is dependent upon road conditions, maintenance and no further weather events hampering conditions. 

Northern Territory 

Victoria Highway

Victoria Highway is open. Some access roads off the highway may currently be inaccessible, so please check ahead on the Northern Territory Road Map for current conditions for all access roads. 

Stuart Highway 

The Stuart Highway corridor is currently open.

South Australia

Stuart Highway remains open throughout South Australia. 

Oodnadatta Track (between William Creek and Marla)

This section of the Oodnadatta Track is currently closed. 

Wilpena

Some roads around Wilpena are closed. Please check the Traffic SA website for current closures.
