Over the years, we've seen plenty of guests venture into the eastern states, and a depot on the East Coast was highly requested. It took some planning, but we can't wait to add Brisbane to the RedSands Campers depot network next year.
Thanks to our new Brisbane depot, choosing RedSands Campers for your self-drive adventures will be easier than ever. You can opt for a round trip through Queensland, drive to Darwin or Adelaide, or go all out and head all the way to Broome or Perth in Western Australia. The options are endless!

Sunshine Coast
Just over an hour north of Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast is the perfect place to ease into holiday mode. Think golden beaches, the laid back charm of Noosa, lush hinterland towns and the dramatic Glass House Mountains rising up behind it all.
Airlie Beach
Airlie Beach is a lively coastal town and the main gateway to the Whitsundays. It's the perfect place to base yourself before heading out to the islands and the reef. Spend your time relaxing by the waterfront lagoon, enjoying the cafes and restaurants, or booking a sailing trip from the marina. It's friendly, easy to get around and a great spot to unwind.
Whitsundays
The Whitsundays are a group of 74 islands right in the heart of the reef. This is where you'll find famous Whitehaven Beach, known for its bright white sand and clear blue water. You can sail, swim, snorkel or just relax on the beach. It's a beautiful spot and easy to enjoy.
Cape York
For the adventurers among you, Cape York is the ultimate 4WD adventure and a journey to the very northernmost tip of mainland Australia. Tackle legendary tracks, drive through river crossings and reward yourself with remote waterfalls, ancient rainforest and empty beaches. Remote, rugged and absolutely unforgettable.
Cairns
Tropical, vibrant and welcoming, Cairns is the gateway to two World Heritage treasures: the Great Barrier Reef and the ancient Daintree Rainforest. Spend your days reef hopping or exploring lush rainforest, then come back to a buzzing little city full of great food and easygoing tropical vibes. It's the perfect base for the far north.
Great Barrier Reef
No Queensland trip is complete without the Great Barrier Reef, the largest coral reef system on the planet and a World Heritage wonder you can actually see from space. Snorkel or dive among vibrant corals, turtles and tropical fish, or simply soak it all in from the deck of a boat. It's a bucket list experience like no other.
Daintree Rainforest
The Daintree is one of the oldest rainforests in the world, dating back many millions of years. Found north of Cairns, it's a World Heritage area full of towering trees, rivers and unique wildlife. Walk along the boardwalks, take a river cruise to spot crocodiles, or visit Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef. It's a special place and unlike anywhere else.
Outback Queensland
Head inland and Queensland opens up into endless red earth, big skies and unforgettable frontier history. This is dinosaur country, where you can walk in the footsteps of prehistoric giants, soak in artesian hot springs and swap stories with the locals in classic Outback pubs. Remote, characterful and quintessentially Australian.

Today, Finn - our Perth depot manager - shares four of his favourite spots in Queensland with you. He’s done a lap of Australia in his own Landcruiser, and based himself in Queensland for a while, so he sure knows the best spots around.
Noosa National Park
'Great coastal walks bordered by pristine bays. At over 9,000 acres, it's one of Australia's most popular National Parks and one of my favourites!'
Double Island Point
'In my opinion, this is one of Australia's best beaches you can reach via a 4WD track. Here, it's beach driving and exploring at its finest. Great Sandy National Park is also home to some of Australia's longest surf waves. Campgrounds are located in the National Park, so you can easily go for an extended stay.'
Seventeen Seventy / 1770
'This is a small coastal town with beautiful cafés and beaches, surrounded by sail boats and yachts in the peaceful river. You'll find a beautiful caravan park here (1770 Holiday Village), and you can have a look at the Captain Cook memorial.'
The Honeybee Collective
'A great café situated in Emu Park. Coffee and food are served right on the water's edge, and you're surrounded by palm trees and white day beds. What a way to start your day!'
What vehicle is right for my trip?
