  • Winter (June - September)

    During winter, the northern half of Australia is buzzing. It’s the dry season, and temperatures are comfortable. Ancient landscapes, gorges, station stays and famous national parks, this is the time to get your RedSands vehicle covered in red dirt!

  • Shoulder season (April, May, October)

    The shoulder season sees fewer crowds, which means more places all to yourself! Some flexiblity is needed during this season though — the weather can be unpredictable in the northern half of Australia with risk of rain and storms in April, and high temperatures and humidity in October. The Gibb and tracks in other national parks might not be open at all, or only partly accessible.
